Plot
In relatively quiet park, we see that a young man, Rich, is
walking along a pathway. It's obviously late; past 12am. There's a full moon
lighting up the scene.
Suddenly, there's a switch in perspective. Camera is now in
first person. It's in night vision mode, so green and lit up. We are peering
through a bush, hiding from view. Obvious the other person cannot see the
camera.
Sudden cut to person being attacked. Succession of jump cuts
increase the tension. There are glimpses of claws, but nothing specific. We
hear muted screams, and suddenly it all fades out. Camera moves to a full moon.
The full moon graphic matches to the titles.
As the titles end, we cut to a bedroom. An alarm is ringing.
The room is a mess. Not many scattered clothes, but a few scraps of fur and
coats are all over the floor. It's a fur jacket, ripped apart. The main
character, our protagonist, Luke, begins to wake up. His shirt is slightly
ripped, scuffed up, with hints of dried blood. It looks like he got into a
fight. The camera goes wobbly, switches positions (2 different angles- jump
cut) and the view is doubled and tripled as it's communicated to us that he is
somewhat delirious. He seems drunk to the non-discerning viewer.
We follow him as he gets up and leaves the room to go to the
bathroom.
The bathroom, we see Luke brushing his teeth. He has a
bone/tooth/something in his mouth that he removes and looks at suspiciously. He
then brushes it away and continues with washing his face.
We now are now cut to a living room. We see a girl, Clara,
watching TV. Luke walks into the room. We see that he's well dressed now. Clara
pauses the TV, looks at him and asks him where he was last night. She notes
that he came home late, late last night. Also puts in that his fur jacket is
all ripped up. She asks if he got into a fight. Luke thinks but he can't answer
properly- he says he can't remember. She mentions that he really should try to
get off the drugs or alcohol, and she just keeps looking at him. There's hints
at a romantic relationship, or former one at-least. He isn't as dazed as he was before, but he's
still not himself.
From through the door of the room, another girl, Elizabeth
emerges. She acknowledges Luke and asks if he met Rich last night. He isn't
back yet, and isn't picking up the phone, she says.
As she finishes, the land-line phone starts ringing. Luke
picks it up.
On the phone, the police. They ask if this is where Richard
Humes lives. Are you friends of his? they ask. Luke replies affirmatively. He's
been found killed. Please come to the police station, we can send vehicles
around. We see the look of shock on their faces as the camera cuts to the End.
