For my forest scene, I had a few inspirations for what I want the visuals to be like.

The forest scene from Logan is gorgeously shot, with fluid smooth motions and excellent camera work. I can only wish to achieve such smooth camera movements without a steadicam. However, there are scenes like the running scene which could be done with minimal movement, in a single pan. There's also the scenic presentation of the forest, creating tension and a dark mood.

This clip has some truly gorgeous forest shots, made possible by camera movement of mathematical precision.I also low the slow-motion shots- I'm not sure how they were done but I'm assuming they're graphics. I don't need to use effects like that but I like the way they've used both digital and physical special effects to create a very special feel. While I prefer the colours on Logan, this scene has some very nice colour manipulation as well, which is another aspect of having a unique look.

While this decidedly looks like a terrible show judging by it's dialogue and rather bad production quality, it has a decent example of a dialogue scene inside a forest. I will probably a series of shots similar to this for some of the confrontational scene.

I filmed a test video on my location for an idea of what the opening will look like. I've added a rudimentary colour filter on it to imitate the final, but it's a work in progress. I want the final picture to look a bit darker than this.
